Project Management (Lighting & Controls)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Repco II is looking for a detail oriented individual for a project manager position, specializing in lighting and controls. The position is responsible for working with our client base, our manufacturers and our internal sales team to manage lighting and lighting control construction projects from initial order through final implementation and post-project assessment. 

 

Project Managers are the people in charge of specific projects within the company.  As the project manager it is your job to oversee and document all aspects of the specific projects you are working on. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Plans and schedules project timeliness and milestones using appropriate tools.  Partners with project team members to assign tasks, direct activities, and control project execution.  Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project.  Develops, tracks and reports progress to everyone involved in the project.  Communicates project expectations to team members and clients in a timely and clear fashion.

 

A 4-year University or College Degree is preferred.  Related company or industry experience (2 years preferred) and exposure to customer service and/or technical support will be considered in lieu of a degree   Knowledge of lighting, controls and/or the construction industry is preferred.  Knowledgeable of the Microsoft Suites platform is required.  Knowledge of Bluebeam preferred.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

  • Develop a knowledge of various types of lighting and Lighting controls.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of a broad range of product offerings from lighting and lighting controls vendors represented by Repco II.
  • Knowledge of specifications and blueprints for the purpose of coordinating the lighting and controls bills of material as it relates to the project is preferred.
  • Ensures delivery of excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of orders, communication, and coordinating with other departments to resolve inquires.
  • Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Understanding that each project is different and requires a different set of tools to manage it.  The projects are fluid and require an open-minded individual that has the ability to be flexible.
  • Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources, to achieve project objectives.
  • Communicate with specifiers, contractors or anyone who requires information on the project and/or the services Repco II provides.
  • Depending on the project, on site job meetings may be necessary.
  • Troubleshooting inquiries and work with factory representatives to ensure resolution of problems and guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in training sessions as needed.
