Overview Best Practice, test LED light sources and report on their interaction with potentially compatible manufacture dimmer models (according to manufacturer’s dimming compatibility specifications). These tests are conducted strictly to provide information to the lighting designer / specifier as to the dimming characteristics of the light source. The manufacture provides no qualifications as to lumens output or any other photometric parameters, color temperature, CRI rating, glare, etc. Testing is restricted to dimming only. The suitability of the light source, so far as these and other factors are concerned, are the responsibility of the lighting designer / specifier.
To better understand the relationship of the Lighting Control System, LED Fixture, LED Drivers & Electronics. How to establish a consistent performance level for lighting fixture and dimming control specification.
