Repco II Inc., a leading Manufacturer’s Representative of premier lighting and controls products, is looking for an experienced Lighting Controls Sales Specialist to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional sales job. You will have the opportunity to influence projects from the design stage through completion, work directly with architects and engineers, develop specifications, provide technical solutions, and build long-term relationships with customers throughout the industry.
What You’ll Do
As a Lighting Controls Sales Specialist, you will be the technical sales resource for our lighting control solutions and play an important role in developing new project business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop relationships with architects, electrical engineers, lighting designers, contractors, distributors, and end users.
- Identify new project opportunities and develop business within your assigned territory.
- Work with the design community to get our products specified on projects.
- Provide product recommendations and develop lighting control solutions based on customer needs.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, training sessions, and technical meetings.
- Assist architects, engineers, contractors, and customers with control system design and product selection.
- Follow projects from initial specification through bidding, installation, and completion.
- Work closely with manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and our internal team to successfully develop and close projects.
- Develop new accounts while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships.
- Stay current on new technologies, products, energy codes, and trends within the lighting and controls industry.
- Attend customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and manufacturer training programs.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory as needed.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is confident, professional, technically curious, organized, and driven to succeed.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in lighting, lighting controls, electrical products, electrical contracting, building automation, or a related industry is preferred.
- Strong sales and business-development skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to confidently present to architects, engineers, contractors, senior executives, and large groups.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
- The ability to understand technical information and translate it into practical solutions for customers
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- CAD experience is a plus.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
- Willingness and availability to travel as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for product demonstrations, samples, and trade-show materials.
